On your marks, get set, go! The season has started!

Penshurst RSL Youth Swim, is the family orientated swim club that offers a community based, volunteer run, water safety programme to its members. Swim club is sponsored by Penshurst RSL Club Ltd & membership is open to the children of all current financial members of the Penshurst RSL.

Our lessons are aimed at enabling children from the age of three (3 yrs) to become confident in and around the water, with the added benefit of learning how to swim. We swim most Saturdays from August until the end of March & parental involvement in the day to day running of the club is extremely important and what makes us so unique as a swim school.

I am pleased to have the opportunity today to acknowledge the great efforts of the Penshurst RSL swim club. On 2 April, I attended the Penshurst RSL Youth Swim Club’s annual presentation evening at the Peakhurst West Public School pool, which is a very highly used pool in my electorate. I presented the Banks Outstanding Sporting Achievement Awards on the evening. The club is run entirely by volunteers—president Ray Roy and a whole host of other volunteers—who keep things ticking over every year. Importantly, the club provides not only the swimming and various races and so on but also learn-to-swim classes for the smaller kids. That is of course so important, particularly in our nation. I want to thank Penshurst RSL swim club for all of the opportunities they provide for local kids, and I look forward to continuing to work with the club

Our club offers quality & value for money (only $8.00 per lesson!) water safety lessons in three (3) ability based classes:

  • Squad 7:00 am – 7:40 am
  • Stroke Correction 7:40 am – 8:20 am
  • Learn to Swim 8:20 am – 9:00 am

Season membership is available. Classes are 40 minute lessons.

Starting date for Learn to Swim: Sat 2nd September at 8.20 am – 9 am. Please bring your registration form and your enrolment fees (both forms on this site – see forms) with you to the first lesson and come earlier if you are a new parent/swimmer to allow time for administrative processing.
